Un eco di soffio II explores sympathetic vibration and instrumental reverberation as forms of breath catacoustics. Bass and B-flat clarinet sounds are projected into a prepared piano, where vibration devices and open strings produce a remote acoustic double of the wind instrument.

There is no pianist. An assistant controls the vibration within the piano while the clarinettist uses an early Extended Pedal prototype to shape resonance. Heartbeat-like pulses, breath and fading traces blur cause and consequence until the initial sound source becomes difficult to locate.
