Reverberated Breath transfers control of the piano’s resonance to a clarinettist positioned beside the open instrument. The clarinet activates sympathetic vibrations in the strings, while the Extended Pedal allows the same performer to control the dampers without returning to the keyboard.

Breath and resonance therefore become part of a continuous action. The piano does not accompany the clarinet: it receives, filters and prolongs its sound as a remote acoustic body whose reverberation remains directly shaped by the performer.
