Programme Note

Reverberated Feedbacks combines the Extended Pedal with contact microphones, transducers and active amplification. The piano is treated simultaneously as acoustic source, resonating processor and loudspeaker: sounds projected into the soundboard return through wood, strings, metal and the damper system.

Feedback is not an added effect but a material generated by the instrument’s own physical response. The performer moves between keyboard and interior, using pedal control, contact and amplification to shape thresholds between acoustic reverberation, transformed vibration and unstable Larsen phenomena.
