Breath/rebreath uses instrumental respiration and changing textures to approach breath as a repeatable formal and energetic process.

Scored for five instruments, the work brings breath, ensemble and repetition into a concentrated musical relationship. It was commissioned by Ensemble l’Instant Donné. The premiere context is documented as Conservatoire de Reims, France.
