Programme Note

Hólo(s) treats nine instruments as a whole resonant body. Souffle is not limited to audible breathing: it becomes an orchestration system connecting friction, white noise, instrumental respiration, resonance and energy across the ensemble.

Contrasting temporalities of movement and stasis generate hybrid masses and spatial poles of resonance. Inhalation, exhalation and suspension operate simultaneously at the level of individual gestures, instrumental groups and large-scale form, allowing multiplicity to remain perceptible within a single evolving entity.
