Stac’atoy uses keys, cases, drawers and resonant accidents of Michelsonne toy pianos. Glissandi, percussive actions and tempo-driven textures create a playful but materially precise ensemble.

Scored for six to ten toy pianos, the work brings toy piano, flexible ensemble and percussion into a concentrated musical relationship. It was commissioned by Ensemble StaccaToy. The premiere context is documented as L’Espace 93, Paris, France.
