Programme Note

Resonating Gestures explores the physical production of sound, the decay of resonance and the way amplification reveals fine contact and movement.

Scored for amplified piano, the work brings piano, amplification and gesture into a concentrated musical relationship. It was commissioned by Ensemble Lucilin. The premiere context is documented as Cathy Krier; Abbaye de Neumünster, Luxembourg.
