Orientale Double Concerto places two saxophone soloists in dialogue with wind orchestra. It remains an original concerto and must not be classified as an arrangement.
Scored for two saxophones and wind orchestra, the work brings double concerto, saxophone and wind orchestra into a concentrated musical relationship. It was commissioned by Claude Delangle and Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine. The premiere context is documented as Cathédrale Saint-Louis des Invalides, Paris, France.
